Gyokai Tonkotsu
Tsukemen
(Seafood
Pork Dipping Ramen)
Tsukemen, translated as “dipping noodles” was originally created in the 1960s by Ramen pioneer Kazuo Yamagishi of Taishoken. He had an inspiration to make ramen more like Nihon Soba noodles, separating the noodles and broth. For the broth, he created a flavor similar to Hiyashi Chuka but with a savory ramen taste.
Our inspiration comes from the second wave of the Tsukemen movement. A rich and savory pork and fish broth carefully paired with thick, chewy, flavorful noodles.
Get ready to “dip” into this unique and fun way to eat ramen at home with our new Gyokai Tonkotsu Tsukemen (Dipping Noodles)!
Tsukemen Noodles & Soup Base
Tsukemen noodles feature a unique chewy and springy texture!
(Remember to dip the noodles in the soup!)

In the 2000s, ramen shops created a richer, heartier fish and pork soup base broth to pair with the noodles, which became very popular throughout Japan.
